Welcome

The Federal Programs department is dedicated to supporting students, families, and staff members with supplemental grant resources and diverse opportunities. We focus on school improvement and eliminating any barriers to student success. We also support a wide array of family and community engagement opportunities throughout the district, including Parent University, the Hazelwood Hero Readers program, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Solutions group.

What We Do

• Support school improvement through the targeted use of federal grant resources, including Title I funding
• Ensure accurate fiscal and programmatic compliance for federal grant programs
• Help schools define needs and evaluate efficacy of grant resources
• Coordinate parent involvement programming, such as Parent University, at both the district and school levels 
• Organize the Homework Hotline to ensure students have access to academic support beyond the school day
• Collaborate with community partners to expand opportunities and resources for students
• Facilitate community volunteer programs, including Hazelwood Hero Readers and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Solutions Group
