Maria Bielik began her career in education as a high school business education teacher, serving students in both the Valley Park and Fox C6 School Districts. During this time, she laid the foundation for her future leadership roles by integrating data-informed instruction and supporting career and technical education (CTE) pathways.
Transitioning into administration, Mrs. Bielik served as an assistant principal and principal before moving into district leadership. Her central office roles have included Assessment, College, and Career Readiness Coordinator and, most recently, Director of Data, Assessment, and Accountability for the Fox C6 School District. In these positions, she oversaw district-wide data systems, led assessment implementation and compliance, directed accountability initiatives, and developed programs to support student readiness for college and careers.
Mrs. Bielik has deep experience in data analysis, accountability reporting, and compliance with state and federal education mandates. She has developed dashboards and performance reports to help district leaders drive improvement and has provided professional development to administrators and teachers on data use, assessment protocols, and instructional strategy.
A passionate advocate for equity and student achievement, Mrs. Bielik worked closely with counseling, and IT teams to ensure accurate student data, fair assessment practices, and informed decision-making. She has also secured and managed grant funding to enhance CTE and STEM programs for her prior district.
Mrs. Bielik holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary business education from Central Missouri State University and two advanced degrees from Missouri Baptist University: a master’s in educational administration, an educational specialist degree in the superintendent track, and a soon-to-be doctorate in educational leadership, expected in December of 2025.
In addition to her district leadership, Mrs. Bielik has served as an adjunct professor at both Missouri Baptist University and Jefferson College, preparing future educators and leaders in the field of Career and Technical Education.
As Hazelwood’s Director of Data and Assessment, Maria Bielik serves as a cabinet-level executive as a proud team member on the leadership team.
