Mrs. Cassandra Brown Ed.S.--Associate Principal
Cassandra Brown is a dedicated educator with nineteen years of experience at the secondary level as a Social Sciences teacher and leader. Prior to joining CHS, she worked at Riverview Gardens High School where she fostered positive relationships with students, staff, and parents as a result of organizing student events and being a consistent source of support for her colleagues. As the Associate Principal, she is committed to collaborating with all staff members in an effort to have a positive impact on students, as well as the climate and culture of the school.
Cassandra earned a B.S. degree in Education with an emphasis on Social Sciences from Harris-Stowe State University in 2006 and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She also earned an Executive Superintendency Ed.S degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Cassandra is constantly inspired by her family. They have instilled in her the power of faith and hard work. They also taught her how to be an empathetic leader who strives to understand and respect all members of the school community. Additionally, she is passionate about culturally responsive teaching because she strongly believes in the importance of providing a learning environment where every student's life experiences and culture are acknowledged and celebrated.
Cassandra is grateful and excited to have the opportunity to serve as the Associate Principal at CHS for the 2024-2025 school year. She looks forward to learning and growing with her fellow Hawk team members.
