Building Safety Precautions Video

  • Hazelwood School District is evolving together to meet the challenges of the upcoming school year.

This school year, HSD staff and visitors will wear masks in our buildings. They will also complete COVID-19 symptom report screenings each day. When the blended school model becomes an option, parents will be asked to check their children for COVID-19 symptoms before sending them to school. Additionally, students will have to follow the St. Louis County masks guidelines.

From the hallways and classrooms to the bathrooms and gymnasiums, HSD will practice social distancing when possible. Alcohol-based hand sanitizing stations have been placed throughout our buildings. Additionally, sneeze guards can be found in key areas.

Our facilities staff will use hospital-grade electrostatic spray units to disinfect our buildings and buses throughout the day and each evening.

It is important to remember that COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving situation. HSD will continue to consult with local health officials and follow all CDC guidelines. The safety of our students, staff, and community is our top priority.
