Support is available to our students & parents
Sadly, we are often faced with tragedies or crises, whether national, local, or personal, that directly or indirectly affect students, faculty, staff and their families. As a district, we realize that everyone approaches and handles grief or crises in different ways. While respecting those who wish to handle their feelings privately, we want to extend a helping hand to assist those who may want and/or need some support. Please feel free to call any of the professionals listed below if you would like support for you and/or your child during any difficult time you may encounter.

About Our New “CHOOSE LOVE” Professional School Counselor Curriculum
Learning to choose love even when life is difficult will change your life.Learning to choose love even when life is difficult will change your life for the better and the lives of those around you.
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a way to teach children and adults how to understand and manage their emotions. It helps people make good decisions and work towards positive goals while caring for and nurturing the relationships around them.
A Simple 4-Part Formula
Choose Love Movement’s next-generation SEL programming is built upon a simple formula: courage, plus gratitude, plus forgiveness, plus compassion in action equals Choosing Love.
When learned and practiced daily, these character values transform you, your relationships with others, and create a ripple effect of happiness, health and productivity throughout your school, home and community.
And the best news is that, once you’ve learned them, you will have them in your tool belt for the rest of your life.
COURAGE
Courage is the willingness and ability to work through obstacles despite feeling embarrassment, fear, reluctance, or uncertainty.
GRATITUDE
Gratitude is mindful thankfulness and the ability to be thankful even when things in life are challenging.
FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness means choosing to let go of anger and resentment toward yourself or someone else, to surrender thoughts of revenge, and to move forward with your personal power intact.
COMPASSION IN ACTION
Compassion is the understanding of a problem or the suffering of another and acting to solve the problem or alleviate the suffering.
