Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!  This year will definitely be interesting!  I currently teach AP World History and World History.

I am a proud graduate of the Hazelwood School District.  I graduated from Hazelwood East in 1988 - go Spartans!  It is a pleasure and a privilege to work in the district I attended.  I am entering my 28th year of teaching, all of them here at East. I graduated from UM-St. Louis in 1993 with degrees in political science and secondary education.  I also have a MA in political science from UM-St. Louis.  I am certified to teach Advanced Placement World History and middle school social studies.

I have two sons - a senior at UM-St. Louis and a freshman at Mizzou.  Most of my spare time is spent hanging out with them.  We especially enjoy hiking, going to museums, and going to the movies (pre-COVID, of course).

When I have extra time and extra money, I love to travel.  My favorite destinations in the US are Colorado and Disney World.  And, my favorite overseas destinations are Paris and London.
