Welcome! My name is Chris Martin and I teach 6th grade Ancient World History here at Hazelwood Southeast Middle School. For this class we will look at the beginnings of civilization which includes culture, innovations, famous people, historical documents and much more! When it comes to my teaching philosophy, I believe that all students are capable of remarkable things if we just give them the opportunity to to so. With this being my first year at SEMS, I am also getting involved with coaching! I will be helping out both the football and basketball team, look for me on the field/court!

Biography:

My educational career started at Saint Charles Community College where I achieved my Associated in Teaching. I then went and finished my Bachelors in History with intent to teach at Lindenwood University. I then began my teaching career in Elsberry Missouri where I stayed for 2 years, leaving that position to accept the one here at SEMS. I am very into sports, specifically football, hockey and basketball. My favorite teams are the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Blues, Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, and the Milwaukee Bucks. I also really love board games, and being with friends/family.
