Hello! I am Mr. Hartig.

I teach Algebra 2 and College Prep Algebra here at Hazelwood East High School. I think mathematics is such a cool subject with applications to so many career paths - inside and outside of STEM. I want to share the things that drew me to the subject while making learning mathematics as interactive and collaborative as possible.

I graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a BSEd in secondary mathematics education and a BS in mathematics.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy listening to music, playing chess, following the Cardinals and Blues, reading and watching movies, and playing with my cat, George. 

I think mathematics has something to offer everyone, and I want to challenge my students to achieve at their highest level.
