Dr. Ingrid Clark-Jackson has placed her retirement on hold to serve as the interim superintendent for the Hazelwood School District for the 2015-16 school year. She has more than 36 years of educational experience and most recently she worked as the associate superintendent for human resources.
She came to Hazelwood in 2006, serving as the head principal at Hazelwood West High School for two years. She previously served as an assistant principal and associate principal at Ritenour High School. She was actively involved in the recruiting and hiring of about 70 percent of the high school teachers through the Ventures for Excellence Training Program. In addition, she taught high school Language Arts for more than 10 years.
Dr. Clark-Jackson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in education from Northeast Missouri State University. She received a Master of Science Degree in business administration and marketing from Maryville University and a Specialist in Education Administration Degree from Saint Louis University. She earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Maryville University. She has also been a co-facilitator for the 2005 Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Leadership Academy for principals.
Dr. Clark-Jackson gives back to her community by serving on various Boards of Directors and/or Trustees throughout the St. Louis area.
Dr. Clark-Jackson shares two educational philosophies: “Kids are my business!” and “Learning is fun!”
